Weird HomeKit problem, losing sharing settings

Cupertino, March 27, 2020

Hi all,

The point is that my husband and I share a home on HomeKit. My husband owns the house and granted me sharing / editing permissions. However, after a certain period of time, usually a few days after changing the setting, I return to my account being in read-only mode. Where I can turn the devices on and off, but I can't edit anything. No matter how many times I changed it, the setting keeps coming back. Has anyone seen this behavior before? I tried many searches and couldn't figure out what might happen. I hoped that if you all saw it, I might be able to track it by calling Apple for help.

Things I tried:

- I destroyed the house and rebuilt it.

- Connecting and exiting all devices from the iCloud accounts involved on all devices.

- When I configured the devices again, I did it through the HK application itself, rather than using any kind of auxiliary applications.

- All devices in which any of our accounts are connected are the latest or latest versions of OS software.

There are two bridges in the network, an AppleTV 4k and the virtual homebridge device to interface all things that are not Apple certified. The devices are roughly evenly split between homebridge and official HK types.
