Wemo Mini Smart Plugs, a feature to add to HK

Cupertino, November 5, 2019

I'm not sure if I was in luck or this is the regular installation process for Wemo Mini Smart Plugs (no bridge required). It did not go smoothly. After messing with these types of devices, I had the patience to finally get all 9 up and running, well over an hour.

They are for the holidays and wanted to set them all up (add to HK, firmware updates, DHCP reservations, automations, etc.) before I connected something to them in a few weeks. Many times they would not get setup through HK and I would have to go through the process of resetting the device and starting over everything.
