What to do with smart holiday outlets?

Cupertino, January 7, 2022

** What do you do with your smart plugs exclusively for holiday decorations (Christmas) when you take off the decorations or don't use them anymore? ** Last year / season I packed my smart plugs that I used for Christmas - smart plug for fir and outdoor socket for outdoor lights. I kept the plugs in the Home app, but I could see "No Answer" or No Answer - whatever, for months until I removed them from Favorites and left them in their rooms. Then, when it came time to decorate this year, I took them out and plugged things back in just to make sure I needed an update AND the outlets weren't responding at all in the Home app. I had to remove and then reinstall (for lack of a better expression) the plugs. That also meant I lost any previous scenes / automations, but they were pretty easy to add back. I'm curious what others are doing here with temporary smart devices? * whether it's plugs, lights, etc. * Take them all out and add them back next year, or leave them and hope they all come back to life when those smart things are plugged back into a plug?
