When your iCloud account is compromised, your HomeKit will stop working

Due to a series of unfortunate events due to software errors, my iCloud account was put in locked mode and now in recovery mode. The recovery mode should be a 2-3 day process, but it is instead an endless loop and could very well be permanent - the engineers get stuck in the resolution mode. I say everything because, since that happened, Al automations, voice commands, and location-based services will not work. Thank God most of my stuff is Hue and they have switches to control almost everything. But what a shock it was that even the automations stop.
