Whimsical light automations - looking for solutions

Cupertino, September 16, 2023

So I've been having some issues with light automations lately. The most common problem I have is 4 Hue bulbs grouped as one over the bathroom sink that generally have no problem turning on either via a Hue motion sensor or a TuYa occupancy sensor running through the Homebridge via ZigBee2mqtt. When the automation for them to turn off runs (occupancy = false), one bulb either doesn't turn off and the other 3 turn off, or they all turn off and that one turns on again. I don't see any other automation involving these lights at all, let alone one that would treat a bulb in a different group than the other 3. Is this common? It's happened off and on for years with various configurations, but it's becoming more common. Thoughts?
