I know this can be heresy here, but I wonder - what is the specific advantage of buying HomeKit compatible equipment?
Currently, I have: 2 “stupid” Meross sockets, a Wiser central heating system (boiler and radiator control), a Wiser socket and a Daikin air conditioner. All of this works through applications - none are HomeKit enabled.
Apart from having everything controlled in one application and being able to use voice control (I don't mind that), what other benefits do I lack?
(I should add that I want a HomeKit ringtone for HomePod and ATV integration.)
