Hey, I’ll have to ask you to forgive my ignorance when it comes to networking; Damn me, haha. I’m in the UK, I have Vodafone Gigafast, I’m on a plan that limits speed to 100 Mbps (download speed I think?). I have it, so it emits 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz under a single SSID. I’d rather not share them, I think that probably makes things a little more confusing? This year I want to install a lot of shade products in the garden. I put a Cat6 cable from home (I connected the Gigafast router) to the shed at the bottom of the garden last year, before winter came. I want to buy another wifi router / extender that I can connect to the other end of the cable in the warehouse to extend the wifi connection to the garden. I bought something that I thought would work for this, but it seems to be sending its own wifi signal. It’s not useful, because I need it to be on the same network as the rest of the HomeKit stuff that I have or don’t think will work. Has anyone received any recommendations or advice? That’s what I bought, if anyone can tell me if it’s actually compatible and only I do something wrong haha WAVLINK AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Router (2.4GHz 300Mbps + 5GHz 867Mbps) with 4 high gain external antennas https: // www. amazon.co.uk/dp/B083LWDJR6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_mAzeGb75N047G?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
