Wire support for Nanoleaf Shapes products: Hexagons, Triangles and Mini Triangles

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

I noticed on the Nanoleaf website that it says:> “Nanoleaf Essentials bulbs and light strips already work with Thread. We plan to integrate Thread into all future products to create a unified smart home. Stay tuned! ” We have sent support for Thread support for existing products and have confirmed that the Shapes product line contains the Thread chip in the controller and intends to release a firmware update to enable it. As usual, take it with a grain of salt, but with their Essentials line being one of the first to support Thread at the end of last year, I think this promise will be fulfilled. From my assisted conversation:> Yes, our essential line, which consists of light bulbs and strips, has built-in threading technology. Our border router for shapes also has a built-in thread chip, but we need to release an update to enable it in the future My answer:> Thanks! And just to make sure I don't buy the wrong product, is the wire chip built into all "shaped" products (hexagons, triangles and mini triangles)? Nanoleaf:> We all represent the same controller, so the answer to that would be yes, any of our shapes would do the job 😉
