We're sorry if this is a subhomekit.blog. I wasn't sure where it was best. I'd like to add an iPhone charger above my coffee table in the living room. The coffee table is in the middle of the room. Hardwood floors with a rug (small pile). Therefore, the only way to feed the coffee table is to pass an extension over the carpet. I'd like to avoid loose hair. I could cut a hole in my carpet and run a USB-c cable through the carpet. I'm looking for a solution that is similar, but doesn't require me to make a hole in the carpet. Is there a device I can put under the rug that could wirelessly transmit power through the rug? For example, I imagine a two qi wireless charging sandwich with the carpet between them. Then a thread from there to my coffee table. Thank you for the advice! EDIT: Some people have responded with the idea of using a battery. This will give me the wireless charging option I'm looking for on my coffee table. However, I would like a solution that does not require me to remove and replace a battery.
