In my apartment bedroom we have a light above our heads, with a hard chain. There is also a wall switch that controls a plug near it.
If I were to replace the overhead light with something that doesn't have a traction chain and put some Hue bulbs in it, can I use a wall switch to control those? If I do, will I lose control of the outlet? Or can I just always plug it in hot?
