Okay, so HomeKit decided to do the biggest HomeKit thing ever and destroy my entire set-up if anything that wasn’t an Apple product stopped responding. After several tests between switching HomeKit hubs, testing hubs, etc. I decided to eliminate everything. However, it provided an opportunity to try something new. I removed all my Tradfri lights from the Tradfri hub and moved them all to the Philips Hue hub. Somewhat painless process, but I did it and now my Philips wireless switches work better !!! I also tried Google Home and it seems a bit too limited. However, because HK can’t detect devices that the hub can’t update, I’m forced to use HomeBridge, which I should have done a long time ago. *** Does anyone prefer to connect their Hue Hub to HomeBridge than directly to HomeKit? ***
Would anyone prefer to connect their Hue Hub to HomeBridge rather than directly to HomeKit?
