Yale Assure 2 z-Wave - Use NFC tag to unlock using shortcut

Cupertino, January 25, 2024

As impressed as I am with the Schlage Encode Plus and HomeKey support, my alarm.com system has a cellular backup. This is a great feature if your internet service goes down (it happened during a long vacation). Also, z-wave uses very little power. Yale Assure 2 with z-wave integrates with the alarm.com system. But, I want an easy way to unlock without using their geofencing feature. I'm thinking an NFC tag could trigger a shortcut on my phone to tell the Yale app to unlock the door. The other option, find a way to integrate the alarm.com alarm with HomeKit and use a Schlage Encode Plus instead. Thoughts?
