**Setup:** I have a Yale Assure Lock 2 (bluetooth, keypad, keyless), connected to HomeKit. Lock is on the latest firmware. **Problem:** About once a month, the lock becomes completely unresponsive to button presses. Any action after the third or fourth push of the button causes the lock to enter alarm mode. I can unlock the door through HomeKit, but only disconnecting the lock gets rid of the alarm and resets the lock to normal. The problem is very hard to reproduce because it only happens every few weeks. Yale claims this is a known problem from a cable being pinched. They asked me to reinstall the lock and make sure the cable is free of kinks. This doesn't make much sense to me but I have now reinstalled the lock several times with various cable configurations but the problem always comes back. The problem went away for a while but recently came back the day after a firmware update, although I don't know if the two things are related. **Question:** Does anyone have the same problem and any advice on how to fix this outside of what Yale recommends? Googling suggests that the problem is quite rare. I understand that this is most likely not a direct HomeKit issue, but I expect there are some Assure 2 owners here.
