Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus: Wi-Fi vs No Wi-Fi?

Cupertino, March 14, 2024

I'm thinking of getting the Yale Assure Lock 2 Plus, but I'm not clear on the differences between the wi-fi and non-wi-fi versions. Can anyone help clear this up? For my use case, the locks would be an integral part of an Apple HomeKit home. From what I've been able to find, it looks like I'd get full functionality through HomeKit without WiFi, and WiFi is really only necessary if I want full functionality while using standalone locking. Correct? I want to be able to do things like remote lock/unlock, issue temporary codes, programming codes, HomeKey, Siri, etc.
