My 2021 Yale Assure lock died today, years too early. I thought it was the batteries so I replaced them but it wouldn't start. I tried a second set, this time rechargeables from a different brand. No dice. Reseat the module. No dice. Finally called it dead and ordered a Schlage Encode Plus from Amazon and it will arrive within an hour. I'll be damned if I buy another Yale. It was always a pain. I needed a new module in the first year. Then a new WiFi module from August. It never told me the battery status. I always had to listen for the engine to slow down to change the batteries. It was never strong enough to actually lock against the weather coat. He was slow to respond. Fingers crossed 🤞 that the Schlage will be better.
