I recently bought the Mi Desk Lamp 1S which is compatible with HomeKit. Out of the box I had firmware 1.2.4. I installed this lamp via Home app which was referring to the Mi Home app for updating the firmware. So I also added the lamp to the Mi Home app and updated the firmware to 2.0.7. In the Home app this firmware version was also shown. So basically, everything was fine.
However (at least) daily the Home app is showing that there is a new firmware available for the lamp. When checking the Home app it indeed shows the old firmware which is strange. After a few hours the message disappears and the Home app is showing the correct (new) firmware.
To solve this issue I have deleted the lamp from the Home app and Mi Home app, reset the lamp and add it first to the Mi Home app and later to the Home app. In the Home app the correct firmware version is shown. However now as manufacturer is shown the Yeelight app instead of the Mi Home app.
Does above sound familiar to you? And should I use the Yeelight app in stead of the Mi Home app?
