You have problems with "what's my update" on HomePod

Cupertino, January 31, 2021

I was very excited to finally receive a morning and evening description of the daily appointments, reminders and news, etc. on HomePod. I made sure that everything is updated to 14.2 and that the iPhone is also updated, but for whatever reason, when I ask HomePod for an update, rather than reading aloud the weather, calendars, etc., it sends me the information on iPhone and I get a series of quick summaries on the screen that appear and disappear so quickly that you can't even read them, then play the news on your phone. This happens whether the iPhone is close to the HomePod or the other room. It's like HomePod just refuses to read, even though it's more than capable and should do it easily. what am i doing wrong
