Logitech seems to be preparing a new smart homeKit compatible camcorder called the Logitech Circle View. As spotted on Reddit, Logitech briefly posted details about the new Circle View camera on its website, but has since removed the website.
On the website, Logitech provided support for HomeKit along with "best video." HomeKit Secure Video is considered supported. The Logitech Circle view is wired, as is the Circle 2, which is compatible with HomeKit, with HomeKit support - which was taken out of stock at most retailers recently.
Here are the features of the Logitech circle view, according to the web page:
- The Logitech TrueView Best-In-Class: View Circle video gives our best-in-class Logitech TrueView video experience. Capture everything in sharp, razor-sharp details with 180-degree full HD diagonal glass optics and more.
- See Larger Image: An extremely wide field of view of 180 degrees ensures that you keep your focus on what matters most, without losing sight of what is happening on the sidelines.
- Superior clarity: Glass optics and a high-quality sensor with a wide dynamic range mean that you capture all the details clearly, no matter how bright or dark the environment is.
- Improved night vision: Infrared night vision powered by Circle View is optimized for full field visibility and superior clarity in the dark at a distance of up to 4.6 m.
Speculation about a new smart camera Logi Circle has recently grown. While Logi Circle 2 was an early adopter of HomeKit Secure Video, it was taken out of stock at most retailers. Wireless Circle 2 is still widely available, but it lacks HomeKit support. Viewing the Logitech circle seems to be replacing circle 2 with wire.
The webpage seen by Reddit users has been removed, but when you search for Circle View on the Logitech site, the image still appears:
At this time, there is no word on the release date for Circle View, but the price will be $ 159 depending on the cache of the web page. We would expect it to be available sooner rather than later.
What do you think about this device? Is it a suitable replacement for Wired Circle 2? Tell us in the comments!
