Home+ Enhances HomeKit Scenes and Automations with Powerful Editing Capabilities for Replacing Faulty Devices

Cupertino, August 10, 2023

Home+ is a powerful app for taking your HomeKit experience to places the regular Home app can't even come close.

Whether you're a casual user or an advanced user, Home+ has the features and tools you need to get the most out of your smart home.

With Home+ you have access to all features of an accessory, even those that are not visible in the Home app.

This gives you more control and flexibility over your devices and allows you to fine-tune their settings to your liking.

Of the many popular features, my favorite is the backup and restore capability, which lets you save your HomeKit setup in case you need to reset and restore your devices without an iCloud backup.

Home+ gains the ability to mass edit scenes and automations.

One of the biggest challenges in managing HomeKit is dealing with broken accessories that need to be replaced in connection with your existing scenes and automations.

With the new version of Home+, you can now mass edit your HomeKit scenes and automations with ease.

When adding a replacement accessory to HomeKit, simply go to the detail screen of the old accessory in Home+ and select the "Replace Accessory" option.

Home+ automatically scans and updates your scenes and automations to use the new accessory instead of the old one.

This includes editing events, conditions, and actions to ensure the replacement accessory is used correctly.

Home+ is free to download from the App Store and there's a one-time $14.99 unlock for all features.
