As every Sunday, we look back on the events of the past seven days in the HomeKit world and summarize the new launches, improvements, tips and more for you again.
Earlier this week, IKEA unveiled a new SYMFONISK speaker. While the new model of the lamp speaker continues to wait, the combination of picture frame and speaker is now official.
To make the speaker palatable to the masses, the picture can of course be exchanged. IKEA offers the most diverse motifs. From July 15, the picture frame speaker should be available for 179€.
As more and more normality finds its way into our daily lives and summer is just around the corner with the vacation season, this week we brought you a random attendance simulation.
In our Automation of the Week, we turn on the lights in a random room via the outdoor motion sensor. But of course only when no one is at home.
Surprisingly, the Full HD IP cameras from INSTAR have received new firmware this week. This means that the security cameras from the German company can now also be integrated into HomeKit.
After installing the new firmware, you can generate the HomeKit code via the web interface of the camera. Afterwards, the livestream, a motion detector and a switch for the night vision light appear in HomeKit.
Nanoleaf Essentials also received a new firmware this week. Version 1.6.8 prepares the lamps for the new features presented at the live event.
However, before Razer Chroma integration, color transitions and Screen Mirror can really be used, Nanoleaf controllers also need updated firmware.
As of this week, the HomePod Mini is finally available in Austria. Until now, our neighbors had to shop with us to get one of the coveted speakers.
Of course, the offer does not differ in price. Apple's smart speaker is also priced at €99 in Austria.
Tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, the annual Amazon Prime Day takes place. The online retailer offers numerous products for Prime members at a particularly low price. So that you don't have to fight your way through the countless offer pages, we will of course include the HomeKit offers in our overview again.
If you are not yet an Amazon Prime member and still want to benefit from the price advantages, you can test Amazon Prime for 30 days for free. If you don't want to miss any HomeKit news or offers, we recommend installing the SmartApple app.
