It's all well and good having piles of colorful lighting on the inside of your home, but what about the outside? LIFX looks to enhance the dull, white or yellow-lit exterior of your home with some very enticing HomeKit-connected smart bulbs, bringing the color in some very cool ways.

LIFX's new outdoor range has some great new options, and they're all available at some pretty incredible prices - so let's take a look at the line.

LIFX smart outdoor lights

First on the list are the LED string lights – they look a bit like Christmas lights for the holidays, only you can change their color with your iPhone or Siri. There is a 7 meter long cable with twelve individual LEDs on it, designed not just for Christmas, but all year round. These are a little larger than your standard string lights, so you might not want to hang them on your Christmas tree right away in March. Don't worry, I forgot to delete mine too. You can buy one for $149.

The second is what LIFX calls “Outdoor Neon Flex.” They look a bit like the string lights, except the lights are not separate units along the cable; instead, they are spread along the length of the strip for a smoother transition of light. It is 5 meters long, so there is plenty to do in the evening of your home or around a table. The flex retails for $169.

There's also an LED spotlight, so you can light up your home like a fancy opera house lit up. It's also bright, with 1600 lumens, ensuring that whatever you point it at is well lit. The spotlight costs $60.

Finally, two types of smart LED path lighting. These lights sit along the side of your garden path and illuminate it in the dark, so you can always see where you are going. One in a box here - so you'll want to pick out a few to line your walkway. There is a round and a square option available, and both cost $109.

All LIFX outdoor lights are on sale now at HomeDepot and they can be connected to low-voltage outdoor wiring systems, making their installation super easy. LIFX makes some of the best smart LED lights around, so these should be excellent too.
