We show step-by-step how you can automatically turn on the lights at sunset and turn them off at sunrise.
Since Twinkly gave almost all of its devices a HomeKit update a while back, we took a closer look at the Twinkly Flex light strip with cover and the Twinkly Line light strip.
We used the neon effect of the Twinkly Flex and recreated our SmartApple logo. In the end, we were pleasantly surprised by how many options the manufacturer's own app offers. The HomeKit integration, on the other hand, is limited to simple lamp control.
The new Matter smarthome standard, set to launch next year, will also support TVs and streaming devices.
On board with this is supposed to be a broadcast standard to stream content to TVs. If Apple decides to support this, it could replace AirPlay 2 in the long run.
This week, the versatile Aqara Camera Hub G3 has also launched in this country. The device is a HomeKit Secure Video camera and can integrate devices from Aqara into HomeKit.
At the time of publishing our post on Friday, the delivery was supposed to be after Christmas. In the meantime, however, Amazon has stocked up and can deliver the Hub before Christmas.
With iOS 15, Apple had also announced a multi-user mode for the HomePod. With this, Siri is supposed to recognize individual people based on their voice and,provided that the account is stored, can access the appointments, calendar or even the music library of the corresponding user.
In this country, however, the voice recognition was missing until now. That should change with iOS 15.2 now. At least in the current beta, the function is also available in Germany. If you are still looking for a new HomePod mini, Saturn currently has a good offer for you.
