Hubitat has launched platform update 2.3.9.192, enhancing the previous version 2.3.9. This update brings built-in support for Matter Bridge devices, introduces new drivers for Aqara Zigbee and Matter devices, and improves device compatibility with the Google Home integration.
With this update, Hubitat Elevation home automation hubs now offer support for Aqara devices and Matter Bridges. Users can seamlessly add Matter Bridge devices, including the Aqara Hub M3 and Philips Hue Bridge, directly to their Hubitat hub without the need for integration apps or custom coding. Upcoming updates are anticipated to broaden this support to additional Matter Bridge devices.
This update also introduces built-in drivers for an array of Aqara devices, such as the Aqara LED Strip T1, Aqara Smart Plug, and various switches, relays, and sensors. Aqara Zigbee devices can be paired directly with the hub or through the Aqara M3 Hub as a Matter Bridge. Additionally, Aqara Thread devices can be connected via the Aqara M3 Hub over Matter. Future updates are expected to support more Aqara devices.
The Google Home Integration app has received enhancements, now accommodating additional device types. Users can manage fans, locks, garage doors, blinds, and valves through Google Home. Furthermore, sensors such as temperature, contact, and humidity can be directly linked to Google Home from Hubitat.
