Introducing the Sophisticated Nanoleaf Smart Lamp, Perfect for Enhancing Any Workspace and Homekit Integration.

Cupertino, March 12, 2024

If you've been waiting to make the switch to smart lighting but wanted something a little more stylish than a simple light bulb, then Nanoleaf's new lighting project might be perfect for you. The Nanoleaf Umbra selection, created in collaboration with Umbra, a home decor company based in Toronto, Canada, includes two new lamps that are both Matter compatible. Matter is a universal standard that allows different types of smart home devices to work together, even if they weren't designed to do so. This means that both lights will work with many of the best Homekit hubs, as well as offerings from Google and Amazon. First up we have the Cono Portable Smart Lamp which, as the name suggests, is portable. The battery lasts up to four hours and can be charged via the USB-C charging port. You can operate it via buttons on the lamp itself, via Bluetooth or via a Smart Home hub with Matter functionality. Oddly enough, the Cono has four legs evenly spaced at the base, meaning you can angle it or even hold it like a flashlight. With more than 16 million colors available for the lamp and its base in gray or sierra, the lamp has great versatility and a look that fits many different types of aesthetics. The Nanoleaf Cono Smart Lamp releases on March 26 and retails for $110, but can be pre-ordered now for $98.99. Another lamp If you're not looking for a portable lamp and want something that sits in a room without moving too much, the new Nanoleaf Umbra Cup Smart Lamp is shaped like a cup that you can put all your stationery in. Available in a black color With a light at the top pointing downwards, the Umbra Cup can illuminate the room or simply add a bit of atmosphere. The Umbra Cup Smart Lamp also comes with over 16 million color choices and is Homekit compatible. Like the Cono portable, it can be controlled with buttons, Bluetooth or with Matter smart home hubs. Nanoleaf says it is a “beautifully crafted lamp that adds a touch of elegance to any work or study space." Since it looks quite nice, I'm inclined to agree. The Nanoleaf Umbra Cup Smart Lamp will be released on March 26 for $150, but you can pre-order it now for $134.99. More from iMore
