Leaked Footage of Eve Cam 2, Smart Masonite Door, and Aqara's T1 Light Strip

Cupertino, August 21, 2023

On this week's episode of the HomeKit Insider podcast, your hosts discuss the leaked Eve Cam 2, Masonite's newly available smart door, and more smart home news. Since the last episode, we've seen an unreleased version of the Eve Cam appear in regulatory databases. However, no changes could be observed, except for a new square design.

The Masonite smart door we first saw at CES 2022 is now available. The door includes a Yale smart lock, a ring doorbell, presence lights, and a contact sensor that are all wired to provide power.

Aqara has finally released its T1 light strip, its first smart lighting product. It has ten addressable zones, music synchronization and Matter support. It connects to an Aqara hub via Zigbee.

Finally, the Roborock app has received a nice update that makes cleaning your house easier.

In personal projects, your hosts have longed for the newly announced LG box TV with 3 hours of battery life, touchscreen, and AirPlay 2. Stephen also showed off his Tidbyt smart display that can display various widgets and link to various smart services.
