LIFX Launches New String Lights for Consumers in Australia

Cupertino, December 7, 2023

Feit Electric, a cutting-edge firm based in Australia, recently purchased light specialist LIFX. The company has since launched their latest light product, the LIFX String Light, crafted specifically for the Australian market. These outdoor string lights boast 12 LED bulbs capable of producing 600 lumens and stretching to a length of 7.3m/24ft.

With a capability to emit warm to cool whites, and covering a range of 1500~9000K, the string lights hold a CRI of 90, providing near to natural light.

Unique features of the LIFX’s string lights include their larger size, and the fact that each light contains three segregate LEDs which can be individually addressed via LIFX’s in-house Polychrome technology. The entire setup including the power supply, Wi-Fi controller and the lights are designed to withstand outdoor conditions. The power supply stretches up to 3.2m/10.5ft and can be leveraged up to 22m/72ft using three of these kits.

An added benefit of all LIFX products, including these string lights, is the use of 2.4 GHz WiFi which eliminates the need for a hub or controller. The company’s stance on Matter and Thread isn’t clear, but they are still compatible with the three main platforms - Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home.

Australian customers can purchase the string lights from their website, currently retailing at an introductory price of AU$215.99, with the regular price set at AU$269.99.
