Lipro unveils the world's first ceiling lamps compatible with HomeKit

Cupertino, October 15, 2023

If you're a HomeKit user, you may not be familiar with Lipro. Lipro is a Chinese smart home brand that mainly produces products compatible with Xiaomi's ecosystem. However, they have recently introduced two new lighting products that are both HomeKit compatible and offer impressive specs and options.

The first product is the Lipro ultra-thin ceiling lamp. This round ceiling lamp has an incredibly slim profile, measuring only 2 cm deep and sitting flush with the ceiling. It is available in both HomeKit and non-HomeKit versions and comes in multiple sizes:

- 40cm⌀ | 32w | 2100lm | 8-12m² coverage
- 50cm⌀ | 42w | 2600lm | 10-15m² coverage
- 60cm⌀ | 65w | 4500lm | Coverage of 15-25m²

The 60 cm option provides more than double the lumens and coverage compared to the 40 cm lamp. All of these models offer a Ra97 color rendering index (CRI), which measures a light source's ability to accurately display colors compared to natural light.

Unlike some Chinese products, these lamps can operate at voltages between 111~240V, making them suitable for use in regions like North America, Japan, and Taiwan.

Another option is the Lipro Square Ceiling Lamp, which offers the same Ra97 CRI and voltage compatibility between 110~240V. This rectangular lamp is available in only one size but offers the highest lumens and coverage:

- 60 x 90 cm | 75w | 5200lm | Coverage of 20-30 sqm

Currently, these lights are only available for purchase in mainland China through Taobao. However, they may also be available from other platforms like AliExpress. Special thanks to Eric @ Wavetech for the information.
