Logitech has announced a successor to its famous Circle 2 camera today, Circle View. The Logitech Circle View camera, now available for purchase, offers a new all-black matte design, TrueView images and support for HomeKit Secure Video.

Get a secure video you can trust with the Apple HomeKit Circle View enabled security camera - built with the best Logitech TrueViewTM video experience, enhanced privacy features, and a design designed for your home.

The Logitech wired camera has full HD 1080p resolution with a wide dynamic range and a 180-degree field of view. Circle View includes 2 infrared LEDs for night vision, which are listed as covering a distance of up to 15 meters.

This time, Circle View is only available in a wired option, which uses a 10-meter USB cable for power. The camera connects directly to home networks via 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi and does not require a dedicated hub. Remote access is provided through an active HomeKit hub, such as Apple TV, HomePod or iPad. There is also no dedicated camera app, and setup and controls are available exclusively through the Apple Home app.

  • Designed for the home, Circle View offers a stunning design with premium details, including a metal base, matte finish and a power cord that blends seamlessly with any space. With its weatherproof body and wall mount, you can mount Circle View for a complete home security solution.
  • The Logitech TrueView difference D in which carefully crafted glass optics and a high-performance sensor come together to deliver a 1080p HD sharp-beam video, an ultra-wide 180 ° diagonal field of view, a crystal clear contrast with a range wide dynamics and an improved infrared night vision up to 15 ft.
  • Designed with privacy and security in mind, Circle View's innovative design lets you tilt the camera down for quick privacy or press the button on the back of the camera to turn off streaming and recording in its entirety. Apple HomeKit Secure Video provides end-to-end encryption with internal video analysis running on your home hub device.

The camera has a degree of weather resistance IP64 and can be mounted on the wall both indoors and outdoors, with hardware included. Unlike the Circle 2 camera, it seems that the new offer does not have accessory supports such as a window or plow option.

HomeKit Secure video support uses the Apple Home and iCloud application for image analysis and storage. Captured videos are encrypted from start to finish, and local video analysis is performed by a HomeKit hub to determine what kind of activity is happening and to filter notifications for cars or animals.

In addition to the privacy-focused HomeKit Video Security, Circle View has hardware privacy controls on board. Behind the camera is a camera power button that "immediately cuts both audio and video," and the camera can simply be titled down to hide the view.

The Circle View camera is now available for $ 159 directly from Logitech as well as through Apple.com. Stay tuned for a full review of the upcoming Circle View.
