New Apple Smart Display Featuring Find My Wallet and AirTag-Like Trackers

Cupertino, February 19, 2024

In this episode of HomeKit Insider, your hosts discuss the latest buzz surrounding Apple's rumored smart home, check out some new trackers, and get started with a Find My-enabled wallet. Once again, the recent beta of tvOS 17.4 has revealed more information about Apple's alleged smart home display. At this stage, a release may happen sooner rather than later. The device, known internally as Z314, runs on an A15 Bionic processor. The beta version of tvOS 17.4 included SwiftUI frameworks and a specific API, which would only be needed for a device with a display. Finally, it appears that Apple has both development and production versions of this smart device in use. This could point to a March release. LG says users should see AirPlay TVs appearing in hotel rooms starting this spring. Hotels will have to install a new TV, such as LG's Centric Smart Hotel TV. Finally, Holomarq is launching a new tracker with built-in support for Find My. After the news, we got to work with the Journey Loc8 MagSafe wallet, which also integrates into the Find My app.
