New garage door opener from Meross controls up to three garage doors

Cupertino, January 10, 2022

A HomeKit garage door opener is already very practical. When you come home in your car, Apple CarPlay immediately shows you the right switch to open the garage door. Meross has had an inexpensive retrofit solution in its range for some time now. Now the manufacturer has released another device that can control three garage doors at once.

With the new garage door opener from Meross, the manufacturer wants to appeal to customers who own more than one garage door. Up to three garage doors can be connected to the new device. Two cables are simply connected to the connection of the previous wall switch. A contact sensor is used to reliably detect the current state of the door.

The device is integrated into HomeKit via WLAN. An adjustable antenna is supposed to improve reception. If you have to deal with poor Wi-Fi reception in your garage, you should go for the new MSG200 model instead of the simple MSG100, even if you only have one door.

You can get the new HomeKit garage door opener from Meross for around 70€ at Amazon. For the market launch, you can activate a 20% coupon on the product page, which lowers the price to 55.99€. According to the manufacturer, the scope of delivery includes two connection cables in addition to the actual device and the power adapter. If you want to control a third gate, you have to contact the seller or Meross to get another cable.
