HomeKit camcorders seem to be scary these days, as another smart camera has been unveiled, this time from Onvis. The Onvis C3 security camera, which is available for pre-orders today, supports both HomeKit streaming and recording via Apple's secure HomeKit video feature.

Onvis C3 supports HomeKit Secure Video, allowing you to securely protect the storage activity detected by your cameras on iCloud. Watch live and recorded videos on your Onvis C3 in the Apple Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

The C3 captures video in HD 1080p resolution with HDR, at 30 frames per second. The camera has a field of view of 134 degrees and includes "Starlight Night View". The C3 also includes a built-in speaker and a two-way audio microphone and can be wall-mounted or simply placed anywhere inside, with the stand included.

Apple's HomeKit Video Security feature allows the camera to securely store images on iCloud and provides local analysis to determine what caused a motion event. To use the feature, you need a paid subscription to iCloud storage, with plans starting at $ 2.99 per month for a camera. Although a plan is required, recorded videos do not count toward the user's monthly data allocation.

Onvis also offers local video storage directly on the camera for users who don't want to use iCloud. Videos can be stored on a MicroSD card up to 128 GB in size, but the camera does not include one in the box. C3 communicates directly to networks via Wi-Fi, through both 2.4 and 5 ghz connections, with the need for an additional hub and can be managed through the Onvis Home application or the Apple Home application.

Onvis C3 is available today for pre-orders with a price of 72 USD. The company has not yet provided an exact time frame for the time of shipment. Stay tuned for a full review coming soon.
