Last year, Philips Hue introduced its inaugural Christmas lighting. The product quickly sold out before December and now the company is relaunching the collection with expanded options. These lights are now available for purchase, starting at $120. The new collection includes three different lengths and an updated design that can be used both indoors and outdoors.

The Philips Hue Festavia string lights made their debut last November, perfectly timed for the holiday season. They quickly became popular and sold out before Thanksgiving. To plan ahead for the 2023 Christmas season, Philips Hue is restocking the Festavia garland lights. This time, there are three different lengths available. Originally, the Festavia lamps were sold as a single strand of 250 lights. However, Philips Hue has taken this opportunity to expand the collection with smaller 100-bulb options and longer 500-bulb options.

The Philips Hue Festavia string lights are smart Christmas lights that can be integrated with other Hue devices. They come with built-in Bluetooth support for Alexa and Assistant, and can also be connected to the brand's Zigbee hub for HomeKit integration. The lamps offer full color support and use addressable LED technology, allowing you to control three points along the Festavia string lights. Each bulb can display a different color simultaneously. While there are various lighting effects available, you cannot individually control each lamp.

One new feature in the 2023 refresh is that the Philips Hue Christmas lights are now suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The previous releases in 2022 were only approved for indoor use, so this year's release has been upgraded. It is unknown if there will be any other additions to the collection.

The Philips Hue Festavia string lights sold out quickly last year, and today's re-release is only the second opportunity for shoppers to purchase them in the United States with widespread availability. Hopefully, with plenty of time before the holiday season and new stock arriving towards the end of the year, there will be more chances to buy these smart bulbs.
