In this episode of HomeKit Insider

Your hosts discuss the launch of the Eve Energy socket and smart faucets, and also answer a listener's question about retrofitting smart blinds.

One of the holes in the Apple Vision Pro ecosystem at launch was the lack of dedicated smart home apps. Maisomage appears to be the first app to appear in the App Store. It's a bit bare-bones, but it's at least a first option for those who want to control Matter and Apple Home devices natively via Vision Pro. Additionally, after being announced in December, Eve's new Energy Outlet is now available. This built-in socket has two independently adjustable sockets that work with Apple Home and Matter.

Next, your hosts answer a question from listener Charles about blinds and discuss several smart options for retrofitting existing blinds in your home, including devices from Eve, SwitchBot, and Ryse.

Finally, we wrap up the episode by going hands-on with the Moen MotionSense smart faucet and discuss why Apple appears to limit the precise controls of Apple Home faucets, while Google and Amazon do not.
