Level, the US-based company known for its unique range of smart locks, has introduced an "enhanced" connected solution for its latest models that extends the capabilities of its range of smart home products by utilizing Bluetooth and WiFi. The new Level Lock+ Connect and Level Bolt Connect enable not only Apple HomeKit users, but also those who use Google Home and Amazon Alexa. This extensive network of platforms also facilitates home automation and integrates seamlessly with smart home hubs that work with Google Home and Amazon Alexa, in addition to the existing integration with Apple HomeKit.

Consumers can now secure or open doors using voice commands through their favorite smart home hub, simply by saying "Alexa," "Hey Google," or "Siri," and create automations with their connected locks. Level Lock+ Connect with Level Connect Bridge and Level Bolt Connect with Level Connect Bridge provide enhanced connectivity and compatibility for customers who have multiple platforms in use at home. However, there is currently no mention of Thread functionality or Matter support, which the standard already supports smart locks.

Only the Level Lock+ Connect uses Apple HomeKey, which is exclusive to Apple and does not work with Google, Amazon, or Android phones. However, both locks, as with their other recent models, will work with the Company NFC key cards, as well as access codes if you also have an optional keypad. The Level Bolt and Level Lock+ with extended connectivity are available via Level Lock+ Connect (€349) and Level Bolt Connect (€199). Additionally, Level will launch a Black Keypad accessory to complement consumer home design preferences. This, along with Level's connected Lock+ and Bolt, will be featured on the company's revamped website to showcase the full product suite. For readers who exclusively use Apple HomeKit, the Level Lock+ with Apple HomeKey is still available for purchase on Amazon for $329 in four finishes: matte black, polished brass, satin chrome, or satin nickel.
