Just on Tuesday, we reported on the HomeKit roller blinds from OmniaBlinds. But also Sonevo will offer smart roller blinds in cooperation with Eve Systems from September.
The German company Sonevo already offers roller blinds that can be integrated into one's own smarthome. So far, however, these can only be controlled via amazon Alexa or Google Assistant and also require a bridge.

This is to change from September. Then the manufacturer wants to offer its own roller blinds also with technology from Eve Systems and Coulisse. This means that the roller blinds can not only be integrated into Apple HomeKit, but will later also support the new smarthome standard Matter. Since communication takes place via Thread or Bluetooth, an additional bridge is no longer required.
In terms of price, the HomeKit-enabled roller blinds are expected to be within the range of the Smarthome roller blinds that are already available. This would make the roller blinds significantly cheaper than those from OmniaBlinds.
