SwitchBot has announced the launch of an enhanced version of their K10+ mini robot vacuum, the K10+ Pro. The new model appears quite similar to its predecessor at first glance, but there are subtle changes both internally and externally.
The visible differences include a larger front docking sensor and a switch from a shiny black front panel to a matte grey finish where the vacuum attaches to the docking station on the Pro model.
Internally, the K10+ Pro boasts substantial improvements over its predecessor. The main rubber and bristle brush on the underside is now replaced with an all-rubber brush, designed to avoid tangled hairs. The battery remains at 3,200mAh, but the motor's power has been increased by 20%, offering 3,000Pa of suction compared to the original model’s 2,500Pa.
Both models utilize LiDar SLAM technology for mapping and object avoidance. The K10+ Pro features a Position Sensitive Detector, which aims to reduce collisions and enhance mapping accuracy.
Both models feature a docking station that empties the vacuum’s debris into a disposable bag that lasts up to 90 days. Unlike the flagship S10 model, the mopping function of the K10+ Pro is secondary, utilizing mopping pads for light cleaning.
The K10+ Pro supports Matter, but only through one of SwitchBot's hubs—either the SwitchBot Hub 2 or the SwitchBot Hub Mini (w/Matter). This integration allows the vacuum to be part of Matter ecosystems. However, the current functionality within Apple Home is limited to basic on/off operation, similar to a smart plug. With iOS18, more advanced controls may become available, though detailed features like floor plans will likely remain unique to the manufacturer's app.
The SwitchBot Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro is now available on Amazon in the US (with a $180 OFF coupon), Canada, Germany, and the UK, for US$599.99 / CA$599.99 / UK£499.99 / €599.99 respectively. It is also available through Switchbot’s own online store.
