Update Sonos App for Air Moss Humidifier by Matter Products

Cupertino, April 29, 2024

In this episode of the HomeKit Insider Podcast, we take a look at a new humidifier that uses moss, new Matter products, and Sonos' massive app update. Sonos is preparing a major new update for its iOS app, launching on May 7. This revision features a redesigned home screen experience without tab bar navigation. It puts popular albums, songs, and playlists front and center next to your devices and streaming services you subscribe to. Meross is preparing a new presence sensor, including support for Matter. It includes a mmWave Doppler radar for presence detection, a PIR sensor for motion and a light sensor. It was spotted on Matter's umbrella organization website. We expect to see this launch soon. Nanoleaf itself had a leak and showed off a new LED light strip on its YouTube channel that still hasn't been made official on its website. It's a 5-meter Matter-over-Wi-Fi light strip with independently addressable zones and a redesigned in-line controller. The price and availability of the new Nanoleaf lamp are still unknown, but should surface soon. Finally, Satechi has officially launched its Qi2 chargers, offering both a 3-in-1 and a 2-in-1 with a foldable design ideal for travel. We end the episode by going hands-on with the Moss Air, an air purifier and humidifier with a terrarium of living moss on the front with a unique control method.
