Yale unveils its first smart locks equipped with fingerprint scanner and Apple home key

  1. Yale has introduced two new smart locks, namely the Assure Lock 2 Touch and Assure Lock 2 Plus. These locks feature fingerprint scanning, support for Apple Home Keys, and more. They are also compatible with HomeKit.

The lock offers easy access control and visibility through the Yale HomeKit app, enabled on both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. It is compatible with Alexa, Google Home, Philips Hue, and Airbnb, and can be controlled with the Yale Access app with a Wi-Fi Smart Module. The lock is designed to work with 1 3/8" to 2 1/4" thick doors with a backset of 2 3/8" or 2 3/4". It comes with a door sensor and a limited lifetime warranty. The Assure Lock 2 Touch is available in black suede, oil-rubbed bronze, and satin nickel, with prices starting at $199.99 for Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit compatibility, and $279.99 for Bluetooth and Apple HomeKit compatibility with the Yale Wi-Fi Smart Module.
