Zigbee Enabled RGB Smart Light Strip

Cupertino, August 15, 2023

Aqara recently launched the LED Strip T1, a Zigbee RGB smart light strip that supports various smart home platforms.

The LED Strip T1 costs $49.99, requires an Aqara hub, and is compatible with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and IFTTT.

It also supports the Matter smart home protocol when used with certain hubs, such as the Aqara Hub M2.

A notable feature of the LED Strip T1 is support for Apple's Adaptive Lighting, which allows users to automatically adjust the colors of the strip based on the time of day during the day.

This feature sets it apart from most other light strips on the market, as there are currently only a few that support Apple's Adaptive Lighting.

Plus, it's the only light strip that supports both Adaptive Lighting and Matter.

However, when the LED Strip T1 is connected to Apple Home using the Matter protocol instead of the traditional method, it loses the Adaptive Lighting functionality.

Nevertheless, Aqara's Apple HomeKit certification ensures that users can still enjoy a seamless experience.

The LED Strip T1 is an RGBIC strip, which means that it can display multiple colors at the same time.

Each of the ten segments is addressable, allowing individual control when changing color.

However, this feature does not apply to the tunable white light portion of the LEDs, which affects the entire strip at once.

As with other smart light strips, the Aqara LED Strip T1 offers customizable effects through the Aqara app.

Users can create amazing gradients and flashy colors and even sync the comic to music using the built-in microphone.

The strip is trimmable and comes with an IP44 rating, suitable for indoor use.

The Aqara LED Strip T1 is currently available from Amazon in the US, Canada and several European countries, as well as other retailers listed on the official website. read more
