Leviton came out today with its second-generation Decora smart switches and drives, which offer HomeKit support without a hub. The new range includes a 600 W dimmer, a 15 A switch, a mini plug-in switch and a Mini-Plug-in Dimmer.
Leviton announced today in a press release the new HomeKit compatible switches and drives. The company says the latest additions work without a hub, such as previous Decora smart home products, and pair wirelessly with "Anywhere Companions," which can extend smart home control. Both factors provide good flexibility, whether you're just starting to use HomeKit lighting or want to expand your setup.
The second-generation wall decor dimmer and switch also have a shallow depth, making it easier to install in new or existing homes.
With a shallow depth of product, second-generation Decora Smart Wi-Fi devices are easy to install in new construction or as a replacement for standard switches and dimmers. For users who want multi-location control, Decora Smart Wi-Fi 2nd Gen supports wired and wireless multi-location control options.
One of the great advantages of smart wired switches like these is that you can use them with existing bulbs and they are also easy to use by guests as normal switches.
