With its first Major League football game fast approaching, Nashville SC wants to make sure it has the right players to put on a fun and competitive product - and they want to look good.
The expansion side presented their first home set on Saturday, just over a month before their first MLS hit. Nashville's first designated player, Hany Mukhtar, showed off the gold kit during an event for Wildhorse fans. Over 2,000 people participated in the release party.
"Our inaugural Major League Soccer kit was designed with the City of Nashville, our community, partners, fans and core team," said Ian Nash, CEO of Nashville SC, in a statement. "Today's event was the perfect holiday for all those elements that come together as one.
"We have chosen a relatively uncomplicated design to establish our arrival in a genuine, bold kit that celebrates the colors of our club and the" Golden Boys ". We have completed the shirt by adding Renasant Bank as the official sponsor of the shirt and a partner who is always eager to innovate and find creative ways to share our MLS story and make our city proud. "
The color of the shirt is light gold and sports the Renasant Bank logo with dark blue letters on the chest. The ridge of the team is above the sponsor on the left side of the chest, mirrored by an Adidas logo on the right. Three stripes run along the shirt's shoulders, and on the left bicep there is an MLS patch.

On shorts, three stripes run on each side. The left foot shows the player's number, and the right foot shows the ridge of the team.
The main jock tag honors the state of Tennessee and commemorates the club's inaugural season with the arrangement of stars on the flag of Tennessee.
The club said the kit "pays tribute to the first season of the NSC in the MLS, as well as the state of Tennessee. The electric gold t-shirt with blue acoustic ornaments is on full display, and the club's official colors are transformed from logo to kit. "
The ridge was inspired by the city's "Nashville rhythm, game rhythm and sonic qualities".
Nashville SC will play its first MLS game of the regular season on February 29, hosting Atlanta United FC at Nissan Stadium.
