The most reliable HomeKit lock with keyboard?

Cupertino, November 14, 2020

I like keypad locks so my kids can get inside using the codes. That leaves out the level lock. The August locks have a keyboard, but I used it years ago and it was very unreliable (maybe it has improved).

I initially bought some Kwikset Premis Bluetooth locks and they were pretty insecure. They discharged the battery very quickly.

Then I bought some Yale Assure locks with an August module that adds HomeKit. They are much better in terms of reliability. However, they sometimes crash to "Update" or report being unlocked when they are not.

Has anyone found a reliable keyboard lock?
