I have a question that many of you may have ... but I didn't find any posts related here!
The idea is really simple: I have a GarageDoor controlled by a Broadlink RF command. This is presented as a garagedoor switch in the Home application and works fine. I also have a sensor on the bottom of the garage that says "closed" when the garedoor is closed.
The thing is that sometimes I use the usual manual switch to open garagedoor and thus the status of the GarageDoor switch is not updated properly in the Home application. However, the sensor status is updated.
What I would like is a way to force the garage door switch status update depending on the sensor status. If I create an automation, it will not only update the status, but it will also send the RF command ... and I'm in an infinite loop.
* I have a homebridge configuration, which means I can use any plugin I want, if needed. *
