Hi, I just received some LIFX bulbs mounted on a Hue Bridge + Hue Dimmer switch. Everyone speaks through Homekit. I also have an Apple TV that I set to be used as a hub. The previous setup was just LIFX blobs on my wifi + phone. Now that I put my phone in airplane mode … Hue Dimmer is still able to turn off the LIFX (cloud enabled) lights. Great … but how does that work? Do LIFX bulbs talk to Apple TV instead of my networked phone? I know I can’t talk directly to Hue Bridge … or the router. Right? Also, Apple TV seems to be turned off in all of this … does it have some sort of ghost mode to be a hub in the background while it’s turned off? Thanks!
We need to explain: How does this work?
