I am currently replacing all my IKEA Tradfri bulbs for wired bulbs, namely Nanoleaf Essentials. I was thrilled to see that all Nanoleaf bulbs instantly update their status in the Home app and respond quickly to commands, unlike my IKEA bulbs, which always take 5-20 seconds to update their status and most often respond slowly to orders. and even worse, they regularly enter an untouchable state in which I have to physically reduce their strength to make them work again. Anyway, recently my internet connection has been interrupted twice. To my great surprise, all my Nanoleaf bulbs no longer respond in HomeKit when I am connected to my local wifi, but without internet. God-abandoned IKEA bulbs and my Eufy cameras still work perfectly in HomeKit, without the internet. What am I missing? My Apple TV 4K 2021 acts as a wire edge router, and when the internet is interrupted, Apple TV reports that it is disconnected in the Hubs section of the Home application. I realize that (obviously) you can't reach from the outside using the internet, but why oh, why doesn't it work locally on wifi to control through wired light bulbs even without internet?
