The bot does not allow links to Amazon. Look for the KS205P3, it's only $48.25 CAD for the 3-pack today.

I have a front door being installed, about 56mm thick. I would like to get the Shlage Encode Plus but it only accepts the maximum door thickness of 45mm. I was advised by the door manufacturer to avoid reducing the thickness to 45mm. Are there any good locks that accept HomeKey for this door thickness?
Using the Eve motion and door sensors in the Eve app or through Apple's home app, it is possible to create a simple alarm on/off button to turn the sensors on and off. I'm after one button options in either app rather than using triggers like using GPS locations.
Sometimes they seem to work. Sometimes I get a notification and have to automatically confirm the automation, but most of the time nothing happens. Did I overlook a setting? Location services are enabled on all devices.
I set up an Aqara system as an alarm. when changing Camera mode etc. I get a notification in HomeKit. but when the alarm goes off i get nothing. My wife gets a critical alert, but I don't. Aqara is set up through my phone if that means anything. Does anyone know why and how […]
So I have a Hue Bridge and I have 3 lights in my bedroom and 2 in the living room. I only want to share access to my living room lights. I read about creating a new house and adding the 2 lights to that one, but for some reason, it's impossible to move the […]
I just got my G4 ringer last week and the ringer repeater is making the most annoying noise in the world. It just hums in a way that makes me think it's my tinnitus, but for the first time it's not just me being crazy. I'm worried it's due to a crappy transformer inside, but […]
The camera no longer generates snapshots with HomeKit
It might have happened after the ios17 update but as soon as I say "hey siri" it turns on and off. Settings are enabled and I have restarted all my homepods.
Hi all, I'm in the market for some GU10 color bulbs and I saw that the Phillips Hue ones are very expensive so I'd like to use Innr bulbs. I own a Phillips Hue hub and have seen reports from some users that they can now see Innr bulbs in HomeKit now that the Phillips […]
I already have an automation that sets my outdoor lights to 100% 15 minutes before sunset. I then have another group of automations that "fade" the exterior lights to 20% over a 45 minute period starting at sunset. It's really just a bunch of subsequent automations at 15 minute intervals. Anyway, I have Hue outdoor […]
I have Lutron Caseta switches and Aqura door sensor hubs for both. I can verify that both are responsive and appear correctly in HomeKit. Both can be controlled manually via HomeKit. The problem is that I have an automation to turn on the pantry light when the door is open. And a second automation to […]
We have a hot tub outside on a deck. The problem is that there is a motion light (spotlight) that goes off while we are in the tub. We put in a Leviton switch so we can control the light. The problem is that once it's turned off, it's kind of forgotten and not turned […]
I saw a mention of these somewhere on homekit.blog and decided to take the plunge. I bought 2 from the known online vendor with customer service issues and they arrived yesterday. The only issue I had with them was that I feel like removing the battery cover is mislabeled. The battery cover must be turned […]
Does anyone here use Homey Pro? Or all with home support? For those at home, how was it? Especially in terms of reliability and interoperability?
Meross makes many smart Wifi bulbs. One such model (MSL-120) has a *non-HomeKit* option and a **HomeKit** option, the latter costing ~$7 more. Does the extra cost for a Meross HokeKit bulb reflect additional hardware or is it from additional license fees?
Hello, For the purpose of the matter, will we have everything in the home app on the day? My wife doesn't want to get an iPhone and we have a Google Nest Hub at home, so I buy things that work with HomeKit + the rest of the world, but I also have other things […]
I'm building a tiny home on wheels and want to incorporate some of the smart features I'm used to in my old home, but I'll be ditching Google/Nest for Apple/HomeKit. I think I'm good to stick with the Segled and Philips route for my lighting, and LG WebOS should be fine for my TV. My […]
A question for the HomeKit experts: We have a HomeKit enabled alarm system and would like to ask ourselves to turn it off when we get home. We can achieve this behavior by creating a HomeKit automation, but there's a problem: we get the prompt even if the alarm is already off (eg someone's home). […]
In the second house, I have 2 HomePod Minis to give me remote access to my smart home when I'm not there. Like now. But, the Home app says my HomePod Minis aren't responding, and since they're my only hubs, it also says I don't have any working hubs. My daughter happens to be in […]
I was recently informed about the Controller app for HomeKit. It seems useful, but there are a few questions I'd like the communities to take on: 1. I'm trying to use it right now to create different automations for when the home alarm "arms", but in different ways. Aka weapon in Away or Night mode […]
Looking to buy some smart bulbs and curious how well they work? I'm considering either the nanoleaf, Meross or VOCOlinc bulbs but not sure which is the best option
I almost had it. iOS 17.0.3 on my iPhone 15 Pro broke a lot of HomeKit: I can't add new home members, location-based automations and camera modes are broken. I am a long time HomeKit user. Most of my friends have HomeKit homes because I pushed them. My parents have one. But the state of […]
Want to get 2 smart bulbs and wonder which one people prefer? Don't look to spend a ton of money on tint or nanoleaves though. They are too expensive when I'm only looking for 2 bulbs.
I recently bought a Schlage Encode Plus and I think it's amazing. The ability to quickly open your door with high reliability with an iPhone or watch is great. I currently have an Apple HD as a HomeHub, so Schlage uses Bluetooth. Does it make sense to spend $150 to get the Apple 4K for […]
Since HomeOS17 homekit will always change my home location. I obviously don't live in a supermarket. this is frustrating.
My biggest complaint about the 17 upgrade is that my HomePods don't remember what they were playing. I would usually put my music library on shuffle and go on for days on end with play/pause. Now after taking it off for a few hours it resets and when I ask to play I get "here's […]
I know you're probably sick of people complaining about HomeKit, but is it just me or is the Home app super buggy? Visual issues, things jumping around. It's so frustrating. Other HomeKit apps are much easier to use
Looking to set up motion sensors and Eve doors as part of an alarm notification system. What does this mean if we have a small dog. If we leave the house with the dog at home, do the motion sensors accept pets or is it better to activate the door window sensors only in this […]
I recently purchased a Meross essential oil diffuser with HomeKit and all I've had with it are problems. First, it appears in the Home app as a humidifier. It shows two modes, "Humidify" and "Dehumidify" The oil diffuser can neither humidify nor dehumidify, it is just an oil diffuser. Whenever I press one it crashes […]
I'm looking to convert my outdoor light controls to a ZigBee or Zwave smart switch behind the wall, controllable by HomeKit. My current lights can be controlled by a switch on my front door (2 group) and a switch on my back door (3 group). I want to make one of the two switches smart […]
I gave up on setting up the house lighting because randomly it just wouldn't work anymore. I had: an OG home pod, theee home pod mini, four Phillips Hue bulbs, two Meross plugs. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I used my iPhone and the HomeKit app. I have an Eero router and AT&T fiber. Do […]
