According to the comments for this post ((https://blog.evehome.com/finally-notifications/)(https://blog.evehome.com/finally-notifications/)), from January 2018 there was no way to garden (Home.app) (https://Home.app) send messages triggered by temperature changes. Is that still the case? & # X200B; I am considering creating a temperature sensor via Homebridge, but will not bother unless I can make rules such as "Notify me […]
Thought I asked this day, but can't find posts (probably user errors). Any other rocking rachio 3 and ios13? I've lost all my zone labels. Doesn't seem to have the ability to name them now. When I go to turn it on, all 8 zones are just empty, so I can't tell what I turn […]
Last week, I added the iHome outdoor switch and it works well unless it tells me I haven't found when I'm away from home. So in the front of my house I bought the iDevices outdoor switch with the dual output when I pair it to my Wi-Fi, it goes smoothly, but when I pair […]
Why would my sister have my devices in her favorites? And I need to manually add wallpapers to each device manually ... came on Apple .. Please report these to Apple via the Feedback app when running iOS 13 😃
3min study on presence detection in smart homes for university - details in comments, any help is appreciated
For the multiple outputs or devices that have different functions like the aqara hub nightlight + alarm or flower mover for humidity + hue. Does it (extra step) (https://imgur.com/gallery/o15IvHs) turn them on / off disturbing anyone? Click on a light to activate an alarm or scroll down to the bottom past the alarm just to […]
I want: - Fireplace - Light strip - bright spots What more?
Who created this? Is your view in hp way different and not in a good way? It looks like I lost my zone labels and hard to look for a hard pressure. Checks (doesn't complain) to make sure it's not just me.
Has anyone been able to sleep / wake up an Apple TV in a scene or automation with the iOS13 Home and Shortcuts app? I have to criticize this for certain services / actions that are not made available until the official release, but wanted to see if I was just wrong.
I have my house wired with Lutron Caseta Wireless Dimmers. One of them controls a backyard light. I have a HomeKit automation that when a back door opens, the light is triggered to turn on and off 4 minutes later. It works perfectly and does it now. But in the last few days I have […]
Koogeek A1 Environmental Monitor now available in UK, FR, DE & IT Amazon Stores
Anyone know if there are refrigerators with Home app built in? I would love something like this!
I have a gas burner that I can control and turn off with a wall switch. I just replaced the dumbbell contact for the Leviton Decora Smart switch. Petty I know, but would love to have a fireplace icon instead of a switch icon in the Home app.
I think letting HomeKit work with Android phones (at a lesser level at least) would be a great help in adopting and also incentive companies to make products for HomeKit. A big problem with young people is what has roommates etc. And much of the time everyone does not have an apple phone. This reduces […]
Just bought the IKEA gateway, plug and socket connector. I have to say I am very happy with how they work. I have them connected to lamps in my living room and love the instant results when I control the switch. One thing to note is that Gateway requires a hard connection to your router. […]
Ecobee updates their SmartSensor with better range and accuracy
Edit. Resolved shows that my aqara hub is needed to be connected and updated. Nice to say the least. Had to connect some devices again and had to restart the hue hub. Odd behavior.
Scrypted for Android promises Android integrations to HomeKit (also Google Home, Alexa)

The new study mentions 63%, compared to 45% in 2017, not owning a smart home solution at all. Among those who chose, the connected devices (11%), clear thermostats (8%) and intelligent security systems (7%) chose: (** 2019 review **) (https://www.reportlinker.com/insight/alexa-problem-smart-home-tech-2019.html) (** 2017 survey **) (https://www.reportlinker.com/insight/smart-automation-comes-home.html) (Home automation solutions - 2019 by 2017) (https://i.redd.it/oxslncfkh3231.png) It may […]
Koogeek Environment Monitor now available on amazon.com (not an associated link)
I recently moved into a new house. I had Leviton Smart switches through my old house so I'm familiar with Siri commands. However, I have two lamps, both of which are connected to the Ikea smart plug and first I just wanted to ask Siri to turn off the lamps and they would both differ. […]
Yeelight plans four new HomeKit compatible lamps and more bulbs
So I'm currently thinking of buying some homekit security gadgets (motion sensors, door magnets, etc.). However, my concern is power supply or internet connection. Would an LTE iPad prevent / solve this problem? It has a battery and is connected to a WWAN, so it should be prone to both power and intent
I have an Osram Smart + bulb and it works perfectly when I'm close with Bluetooth turned on. The rest of the time when I'm away, or even with Bluetooth off, doesn't answer. Is this intended behavior that it can only be controlled over BT?
Does 13 have the option of turning off sensors in HomeKit? I know you can disable an automation, but I've been waiting to disable the sensor by telling Siri to "turn off the kitchen motion sensor".
Hey guys, I own a Nuki smartlock 2.0, the Nuki bridge is paired with it. The door on which Nuki is mounted is on solid ground, a wooden staircase leads up one floor, which is a wooden door. Just behind the door, the bridge is located. It says Bluetooth connectivity is excellent. Ca. 3 meters […]
A review of the changes and additions to icons for HomeKit in iOS13
Legrand Smart 3-way switches are now available on Amazon
I have noticed over the last few days that my location-based automation for the lock on our door and the air conditioner has become much more unreliable. For the air conditioner at least there are a number of possible automations that can fire based on presence and other conditions. Could it help to contribute? I […]
