I have a gas burner that I can control and turn off with a wall switch. I just replaced the dumbbell contact for the Leviton Decora Smart switch. Petty I know, but would love to have a fireplace icon instead of a switch icon in the Home app.

Edit. Resolved shows that my aqara hub is needed to be connected and updated. Nice to say the least. Had to connect some devices again and had to restart the hue hub. Odd behavior.

So I'm currently thinking of buying some homekit security gadgets (motion sensors, door magnets, etc.). However, my concern is power supply or internet connection. Would an LTE iPad prevent / solve this problem? It has a battery and is connected to a WWAN, so it should be prone to both power and intent

I have an Osram Smart + bulb and it works perfectly when I'm close with Bluetooth turned on. The rest of the time when I'm away, or even with Bluetooth off, doesn't answer. Is this intended behavior that it can only be controlled over BT?
